The City Surf Series is property created in 2017 and owned by Accelerate Sport which features surfing events along the South African coastline. The series also enjoys strategic collaboration from Surfing South Africa (SSA) and the World Surf League (WSL). The goals and objectives of the series aim to provide competitive WSL Qualifying Series events for local South African surfers. This collaborative partnership allows the events to have a direct impact by providing international competition for aspiring local surfers, allowing them to compete on their home ground and avoid high travel costs.
The City Surf Series is the ideal platform for young surfers to start their careers. It is an amazing opportunity to showcase the incredible talent that South Africans have and to earn vital QS points in a quick period of time
